Barion complies with financial regulations and applies balance and transfer limits based on your customer verification level. For Business Wallets, there are two verification levels:
- Simplified Due Diligence (SDD), and
- Normal Due Diligence (NDD).
You can check your current limits by clicking on the profile icon in the top left corner, then on the Limits button.
- Important! Your balances in different currencies are added together to determine whether you have exceeded the balance limit.
If you reach the limit for the first verification level, your Barion Wallet will be temporarily suspended, and you will need to request verification of your Wallet. You can find the prerequisites of identity verification here.
Barion Smart Gateway continues to operate even if you reach these limits. If you have a merchant account, you will continue to receive payments from purchases made in your webshop.
Simplified Due Diligence (SDD)
Business Wallets start at the Simplified Due Diligence level. This means that your Business Profile has been filled out, but the organization's representative has not yet completed the identity verification.
- Balance limit: Your e-money balance cannot reach or exceed HUF 300,000 (~800 EUR / ~20.400 CZK / ~900 USD / ~4.400 RON / ~3.600 PLN)*.
- Withdrawal limit:
- Withdrawals initiated from the Bank Transfer menu are limited to HUF 260,000 per calendar year (~730 EUR / ~17.700 CZK / ~800 USD / ~3.800 RON / ~3.000 PLN)*.
- There is no limit on using the Send Money feature.
Normal Due Diligence (NDD)
To remove all limits, you must complete the full customer due diligence process and reach the Normal Due Diligence level.
*The amounts shown in other currencies are for informational purposes only. The system always applies the limit defined in Hungarian forints (HUF) and converts it using the current exchange rate.
