What does an unsuccessful bank transfer mean?
A bank transfer most often fails because the specified bank account does not exist. This can happen even despite our system's automatic bank account format validation. If a bank transfer fails, we will notify you by email, and the transferred amount, along with the withdrawal fee, will be refunded to your Barion Wallet.
Since Barion does not perform currency conversion, an international bank transfer may also fail if the beneficiary’s bank does not hold an account in the transferred currency and no correspondent bank is available to perform the required currency conversion and forward the funds. In such cases, the bank transfer will be unsuccessful, and the transferred amount, together with the withdrawal fee, will be credited back to your Barion Wallet. If a correspondent bank is available, the beneficiary’s bank will perform the currency conversion, and the exchange rate applied by the beneficiary's bank will be used.
For more information regarding a failed bank transfer, please contact our customer service with the details of the failed transfer.
